Project Overview
Design of the helm for Axis Wake Research, a function-first interface prioritizing simplicity, durability, and rapid control. A hybrid layout combining a central digital display with tactile molded switches enables intuitive operation and minimizes driver distraction during towing.
GUI control layout and command clustering were defined to streamline access to core systems including speed control, ballast, and wave shaping; while a redesigned dash geometry improves sightlines, driver positioning, and long-duration comfort.
Merchandising of the dash product offering was structured across base to premium packages, creating clear feature tiers that scale from essential analog/digital interfaces to advanced display and control integrations, balancing cost targets with perceived value across all trim levels.
